Provision of Musical Charts
Signpost Music (Steve Bell’s record label) shall provide performance ready, bow marked scores for all required orchestra repertoire. Provision of these charts is included in the performance fee. Charts remain the property of Signpost Music / Mike Janzen, and their return post-performance is required, unless further arrangements are made for their purchase by the symphony.
Conductor
Conductor options to be determined in dialogue with the host symphony, with the following in mind. Rei Hotoda (currently the Assistant Conductor of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra) has conducted all previous performances, both at home and on tour, and also conducted the WSO on the recording sessions of the Symphony Sessions album. It is the strong preference of the artist to have Rei Hotoda guest conduct these concerts. Where that is not possible or mutually agreeable, we welcome the opportunity to work with the conductor provided by the host symphony.
Provision of Marketing and Promotional Materials
Signpost Music will provide print-ready artwork for promotional posters and media materials as required to assist the local symphony in promoting this concert event. Optionally, arrangements may be made for Signpost Music to provide printed posters and other requested promotional materials for use in promoting the local event.
Orchestra Specifications
Both concerts can be performed by an orchestra meeting the following general specifications: 2222/4331/timpani and two percussion/harp/strings are 76541
The Feast of Seasons concert is also scored for performance with orchestra and chorus, and can be offered in either configuration.
Tech Rider
Both concerts are high quality, low volume acoustic shows requiring high fidelity sound reinforcement for the front line (percussion / drum kit, upright bass, acoustic guitar, piano, two vocals), four individual monitor mixes, and either spot or full micing of the orchestra depending on the size and acoustic characteristics of the venue.
Sound tech provided by the artist, as is technical consultation regarding all production requirements. It has been our experience that most mid size and larger concert venues have most of what is required already in place.
Lighting is generally readily covered by the house hang; minimum of warm stage wash and four specials for the front row performers.
